E&I Project Manager:
Provided project management
services to Gardner Electric Ltd. for the major electrical works at the Canaport
LNG Site. Responsible for 230+/- people with seven direct reports
(superintendent, safety officer, QA, purchasing, general foreman). Worked
300000+ hours, the first 260000+/- with no lost time accident. Provided services
such as productivity monitoring, schedule updating and monitoring, prepared
weekly progress reports and monthly cost reports and projections, provided
engineer review services on all construction drawing packages identifying
errors, materials, etc., provided quantity takeoff services. Managed
construction work on the power and instrumentation systems at the Jetty, Ship
Unloaders, Pipe Rack Instrumentation, Tank 1 and 2 Electrical completion, SCV
process instrumentation, power, lighting and heat tracing, HP area process

Sub 2 Replacement:
Contracted to provide a design for
the replacement of obsolete 600VAC MCC’s. This design provided for the design of

and Dryer Pulper Controls: Provided engineering for the design of the
controls for a Winder and Dryer Pulper. The control design involved schematics,
wiring diagrams, loop drawings and preparation of a bid package for the
Owner. Prepared the bid evaluations and assisted in the selection of the
Contractor. Also, acted as the Field Construction Engineer for the installation
of the controls system for the Owner.

Honeywell Canada - Front
End Loading: Provided engineering services to assist in preparing a
basic engineering report for the supply and installation of a Honeywell
TPS DCS for a large petrochemical facility in eastern Canada. Scope of
services included estimating labour and materials for installing a marshalling
system for field cabling and DCS I/O, prepared philosophy wiring diagrams
to reflect the clients requirements for wiring, preparing equipment and
cable tray layouts for several DCS rack rooms.

– No. 3 Power Boiler Upgrade: Field Construction Engineer for this
project. Responsibilities included balance of engineering design to complete
the cutover of controls from a Honeywell TDC 2000 to a Honeywell TDC 3000
system. Was responsible for supervising and directing contractors, preparing
estimates for contractor changes and assisting/coordinating commissioning
plant start-up.

Mining Division – Paste Backfill Plant: The design for this project
was by H.A. Simons, Vancouver B.C. Prepared a design check against the
H.A. Simons design and prepared a Contractor grade estimate for the main
power and control contract.

Irving Pulp and Paper Ltd. – Reverse
Osmosis Project: Field Construction Engineer for this project. The
design for this project was by Neill and Gunter Ltd. Responsibilities includes
the review of NGL design, review of bid packages, supervision and direction
of contractors, preparation of budget estimates, preparing detail design
for electrical and instrumentation additions to be done on site during
construction and plant start-up.

Steele Division – Waste Water Treatment Plant Field Construction Engineer
for this project. The design for this project was by H.A. Simons, Vancouver
B.C. Responsibilities included the review of H.A. Simons Design, review

of budget estimates, preparing detail design for electrical and instrumentation
additions done on site during construction and plant start-up.

Kiln Automation Project: Design engineer for the preparation of control
logic descriptions, preparation of instrument and power cable schedules,
preparation of process piping and instrument diagrams and the preparation
of the construction specifications and tender documents. Responsible for
supervising the electrical contractor, coordinating the field installation
with other disciplines, verifying all control and power wiring, commissioning
all equipment for proper operation, recording as built changes and filing
all documentation.

Plant Automation Project: Design Engineer for the specifying and purchasing
of new MCC's, instruments, marshalling cabinets, junction boxes, PLC cabinets
and DCS cabinets. The design scope also involved the preparation of control
logic, preparation of instrument and power cable schedules, preparation
of electrical tray and equipment location drawings, preparation of instrument
location and loop drawings, preparation of process instrument diagrams
and the preparation of the construction specifications and tender documents.
Provided field engineering assistance, contractor supervision and project
management in the area of scheduling and cost control/estimating.

Upgrade: Design engineer for the specifying UPS hardware, detailing
the operation philosophy, preparing bid documents and construction drawings,
choosing suppliers, requisitioning equipment and supervising the installation
contractor.

Improvement Project: Field Construction Engineer for this project.
The design for this project was by Brown and Root, Texas, USA. Responsibilities
included the preparation of bid packages, supervision and direction of
contractors, dispute resolution, preparation of budget estimates, preparing
detail design for electrical and instrumentation additions done on site
during construction and plant start-up.

Irving Pulp and Paper - Recovery
600 Volt Sub Station Rebuild: Design
Engineer responsible for preparing detailed design for the rebuild of a
MCC room. Within the scope of this project, ten (10) existing MCC’s were
replaced with the plant in operation. The scope involved detailing the
construction sequence, development of control logic for the PLC/DCS, specifying
and ordering material, preparing contract bid packages, awarding contracts,
supervising contractors and commissioning and placing in operation the
new electrical equipment and implementing the control strategy.

From February 1992 to October
1993 assigned to the Belledune Generating Station Project as project manager
for the cabling contract awarded to Gardner Electric Ltd. by NB Power.
This contract grossed nearly $20 million dollars and consumed 300,000 plus
man-hours. This was accomplished with no labour disturbances, an excellent
relationship with the owner and productivity above the normal level expected
for a project of that magnitude and scope. This project encompassed installation
of the DCS system, equipment control panels, all control cabling and off-tray
support for the plant, fire alarm system, telephone system, public address
system, fibre optic cabling and the equipment grounding system.

In November 1991, promoted to
the position of Industrial Manager. Responsibilities included the management
of all industrial projects, development and implementation of cost control
methods, change order preparation, estimating, claims preparation and implementation
of continuous improvement systems.

Engineer/Estimator with Gardner Industrial Division. Responsibilities included
estimating, site co-ordination, scheduling and on site engineering when
required. Responsible for preparing electrical designs for design - build
projects. Responsible for preparation and management of construction claims.
